'Older Child Adoption' does not refer to a child who isn't very young; it is a term that simply means that a child is no longer a newborn. In Pennsylvania alone there are over 1,500 children, from infant to teenagers, who are waiting for forever families. Some of these children have experienced abuse or neglect or may have simply been in 'the system' for a while; others have special physical, emotional or medical needs. All of them deserve a family to call their own. Adoption Connection, PA provides the kind of direct support and advocacy, as well as behind the scenes care, to ensure that children are placed with families who are prepared for whatever their circumstances might be. We work hard to ensure that children are welcomed wholeheartedly into the hearts and homes of their new families and we provide long-term support and services after placement to ensure that whatever problems might arise are dealt with in a loving and suitable manner. Our lifelong promise of support is guaranteed for all members of the adoption circle. Direct services relevant to a child's individual permanency plan are often paid for through StateWide Adoption Network (SWAN) within Pennsylvania, as well as by other states across the country that place children with our families. We make sure that families get the kind of assistance they need to make adopting an older or special needs child as easy and affordable as possible. John 14:18
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. |
